Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery

  The agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery develop comprehensively. Throughout the year of 2015, the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery generated an added value of 5,330 million yuan, 3.4% higher than the previous year, with the agriculture creating an added value of 4,040 million yuan, up 2.9%; the forestry an added value of 174 million yuan, up 8.7%; the animal husbandry an added value of 973 million yuan, up 3.5%; the fishery an added value of 84 million yuan, up 3.9%; and service industries related to agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery an added value of 58 million yuan, up 7.5%.

  The city’s agricultural production is in rather good situation. Throughout the year of 2015, the sown area of grain crops reached 649,000 mu, the total output of grain crops reached 259,500 tons; the cotton planted area reached 15,000 mu, 185 mu more than the previous year, with a cotton yield of 1,559 tons, 11.4% higher than the previous year; the sown area of oil plants reached 104,900 mu, 1,565 mu in addition, and the yield of oil plants reached 19,600 tons, 0.9% higher than the previous year; the tobacco sown area stood at 21,000 mu, 467 mu less, with a yield of 2,789 tons, down 2.9%; the total output of meats stood at 62,700 tons, down 2.2%; the output of aquatic products at 3,523 tons, down 1.6%; the output of poultry and eggs at 31,500 tons, up 0.3%; the milk yield stood at 1,899 tons, down 1.3%.

  The conditions for agricultural production are further improved. Throughout the year of 2015, the fiscal expenditure for agricultural, forestry and water affairs reached 936 million yuan, 11.93% higher than the previous year. The total power of agricultural machinery at the end of the year reached 1,131,800 kilowatt, up 3.23%; the area of electromechanical irrigation reached 28,880 hectares, up 0.21%; the effective irrigation area throughout the year reached 36,700 hectares.   

  The city’s agricultural modernization construction has made new progress. At the end of 2015, there were 20 agricultural leading enterprises above the provincial level in the city; the number of “pollution-free agricultural products, green foods, and organic agricultural products with the geographical indication of agricultural products” reached 270, 46 newly added, with 15 newly-certified green agricultural products, 2 newly-added organic agricultural products, 29 newly-added pollution-free agricultural products, and 1 newly-added agricultural product with a geographical indication. 12 medium-scale biogas projects were newly built, and the total reached 175; there were 6 large-scale biogas projects, and the cumulative total of biogas user households reached 29,600.
